INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - One of the live mascots that represent Butler University may have pneumonia.
The illness was announced Tuesday morning on the Twitter account for Blue II, the adult bulldog that serves as a mascot for the team.
Preliminary diagnosis from Dr. Phillips is pneumonia. Going to get an IV of antibiotics & some X-rays. Should be back on the mend soon.

A doctor working with Blue II anticipates he will recover because heβs in good health.
Thx for all the well wishes. Dr. Phillips thinks I will bounce back quickly since we're getting on it right away and I'm in good health.

In the meantime, it appears his puppy counterpart will help fill his role. Trip, or Blue III, is filling in for at least one appearance. The university recently took on Trip, who is a mascot in training.
Well, given my condition it looks like I'll have to sit out the Kiwanis luncheon in Mooresville today. Bummer. It's all you, @ ButlerBlue3 !
