NEW CASTLE, Ind. (WISH) - The New Castle community is jumping on the Butler Bulldogs celebration bandwagon.

The city is honoring the team and its own connections to the Dawgs — players Zach Hahn and Chase Stigall and Director of Basketball Operations Darnell Archey.

On Tuesday night, the community will have a parade and celebratory program. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. at the corner of Parkview Drive and Ross Street. The procession will go around Baker Park, past outdoor basketball courts, south on Main Street to Parksie Drive, and west onto Trojan Lane. It ends at New Castle Chrysler High School.

An event inside the high school’s field house begins at 7:30 p.m. Organizers expect Blue II and Hink to appear.

Butler University hosted a large celebration and welcome back ceremony when the Bulldogs returned from Houston, Texas, after their second trip to the NCAA men's championship.
